Well, Desert Storm 1 was viewed my many as kicking the Vietnam syndrome. I forget who said it, but the whole, " We didn't lose the Vietnam War, it just took us 16 years to beat," or whatever. Plus everyone was jizzing their pants at that time around RMA. Then 9/11 happened. If all we have to do to get over this bummer culture is win another Vietnam type situation, and we can defeat domestic leftism in the bargain, we should just make up a casus belli and then roll in and defeat them, giving ourselves a collective handjob in the process for conquering Vietnam finally. We can just cut the whole scenario out of whole cloth. So many folks bought the Russia Gate travesty hook line and sinker, so we use that and the WMD falsehood only this time more nuanced. Like, we can say that Venezuela was colluding with Russia to make anthrax or some shit, and that they threatened America. We roll in flatten them, and then we call it a day. No re building, no sticking around. And we don't let the media in so we just tell people its all good. If Venezuela is too much a pain in the ass, we can do Cuba or maybe Belize. That gets you the badass jungle aesthetic you wanted. Plenty of cool as fuck jungles, lagoons in that part of the world. It will be half psyops, half tactical. And it will work.
