Those fucking gooks played the media and public like a cheap fiddle. Do you view the Iraq war (Iraqi Freedom 03) as an overall success? What are Iraq's prospects 20 years from now? Do you still think it will be a country or split into parts? I guess Turkey, Iran and Syria all have a vested interest in ensuring that the Kurds in Iraq never get their own state. That would open a huge can of worms for the region.

The Iraq War(s) is a failure.

Because it failed to achieve its objective.

Which was to exorcise the demons of Vietnam.

Better luck next time, in the Philippines.

Ngo Dinh Duterte.

Duterte is kind of on our side though right? Aside from his tyrannical drug laws, isn't that dude pretty solid? I though he hated leftists?

It's got the main ingredients.

Cold War Two

China v. America fight for control of the Philippines.

GWOT

Islamic Jihadist Viet Cong in the jungle for the Pentagon to fight.

It's a two fer.

Eventually, this radical islam shit will fail to deliver, and the muslims in that region will shift to a new ideology. Nasserism used to be big in the Middle East. Didn't work got those lowlifes humiliated by Jews and American dollars, so they switched to Marxism first, then Deobandism and Wahhabism. Eventually those won't get results, and we will fight a new ideology in the region. Of course, every succesive movement borrows from those before it. The amount of ideas, tactics, PR that Islamists have stolen from Western Marxism is staggering. I wonder what the next ideological movement in that area will be over... Whatever it is, it is coming down the pipes, because Islamic State is defeated, and though AQ has brand recognition, it always ends up clashing with the locals, who want local demands, clashing with Al Suri's AQ global radicalizing message, so this shift will take place, and probably soon if I had to guess.

Whatever ideology it will be, it will result in a glistening pyramid of sand monkey skulls in the desert a hypochondriac American media, and a bunch of tax dollars spent. Should be fun.

That's not important.

What is important, is fighting the Vietnam War until you finally get it right.

Only then can America be free of it.
