To the extent that families are allowed to operate, hardcore Karens and AWFLs have been installed as the Stasi deputies to run the household.heydaralon wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 5:47 amWell, think about the Communist view of family. It is something to be eliminated, the former family relationships instead being mediated by the state. At the Shakty show trials before the Great Purge, Stalin had sons acting as witness for the prosecution against their own fathers. In fact, all communist countries have broken down the family unit as best they could.Hanarchy Montanarchy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 3:52 pm

I am familiar with positivism, I am curious how Technocrats are the "new communists." Is it just "works in and with a government?
Progressives likewise dislike the family, or at least the one that does not tow the line. They are staunchly against parents having any say in their children's education. They hate charter schools, and they hate home schooling. They basically view these things as threats to their monopoly on indoctrination.
Consider also their attacks on things like gender, sexuality etc. They are literally trying to obfuscate to the point where people think there are no differences between a man and a woman. Once you start to destroy the family and then control the total education of children, they are putty in your hands. Progressives likewise seek to dismantle the family, especially any traditional aspect of it, and to have the government become the primary movers and shakers in family life. They are not shy of admitting this.
This is one parallel I can think off the top of my head.
To me, the Progressive insistence on changing the definitions of words to the point where they are meaningless is also totalitarian behavior. Every nightmare regime, from the Nazis to Pol Pot engaged in this sort of thing on a wide scale. I went back to college recently, and it is incredible how crazy shit has gotten from when I graduated 7 years ago.

You can see that shit too now when feminist parents try to curb the "toxic masculinity" in their 6 year old sons.
Congrats lady, you just guaranteed your kid will need years of therapy and will grow up a self hating mess. Of course, on some level that is how the government wants it. It makes them essential because helpless neurotic folks will have to turn to them for guidance...

Even if you are right, being fuck ups don't mean they're communists.
But it doesn't matter. These technocrats, Experts, are just political hacks. They've been awful during this crisis. They were unprepared. Fuckers had one damn job and failed miserably.
Trump needs to quit being a pussy and fire them.

Experts or the politicians who refuse to act on their advice?
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Then what is with this politicians not listening to the experts canard? They are listening to the experts, even if they aren't following the experts you agree with.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 12:02 pmAre you still peddling the strawman card?StCapps wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 11:59 amYou still playing the "all the experts agree" card when they clearly do not?Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 11:37 am

How about when a politician reads out the experts' recommendations to wear masks in public and in the next breath says that he won't be following it himself because it wouldn't look right?StCapps wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 12:08 pmThen what is with this politicians not listening to the experts canard? How about when you are a government's spokesperson telling everyone to not make unnecessary journies because your experts tell you that is best for everyone but you won't comply yourself?
Sure, you can find an expert to say whatever you want them to say, see David Icke for an example.
Some experts are more equal than others.

Some experts said not to wear masks, some experts said stay at home isn't the right call. Some experts are better than others, but there is not a consensus, so the not listening to experts thing is a total canard, they are simply listening to different experts.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 12:26 pmHow about when a politician reads out the experts' recommendations to wear masks in public and in the next breath says that he won't be following it himself because it wouldn't look right?

The medical style masks are strategic, prevent the spread, only works if everybody wears them
Defensive for the individual is just a spray guard, so any face covering will do
Operator is just a state of mind
