I just had an idea about a distributed forum using something like TOR. You could theoretically build one that propagates posts across the entire network pretty fast. The only downside is that everybody would have to maintain their own database that would all synchronize with one another periodically while the application is in use.

That's still centralized.

You just have to use an architectural pattern for synchronizing multiple versions of the same documents. KISS.

I mean, you could use RSS and adapt it to this purpose, but I doubt it's ideal.
