Actually, that's part of Imaginary Healthcare.
There's a waiting list. But, on the bright side, there are 17 different administrators your can write to for a status update on your request.

You Yanks need a universal federal public option to cover expenses that insurance companies exacerbate, so you don't need private insurance to cover those costs and drive up the prices because they are only game in town. That way employers and private insurance companies can actually focus on providing coverage to their employees and customers that they can make a profit off of without having to provide coverage that they can't make a profit off of in the same insurance policy, or risk losing business to other insurance companies who can afford to take that hit.

Will it include call girls without having to go on a waiting list, though?

I have respect for Dan, but on this subject, it erodes his credibility. His basic premise, is that for the cost the U.S spends, it gets an inferior product. What bothers me the most, is that I have already proven to him, the statistics he is using are flawed. You cannot compare infant mortality rates in this country to other countries, IT IS NOT THE SAME STATISTIC!!! I have already gone over this with him. It would be like comparing baseball players and conflating on base percentage with batting average to mean the same thing. The way the U.S compiles it's statistic in completely different than Europe. Just because they share the same name, should not be confused with the statistic itself. The U.S has thee greatest health care in the history of the world, yet he would have you believe, before the ACA, hospitals were dumping patients out to die in the streets. After listening to his podcasts, I feel like the judge in My Cousin Vinny "Let the whole argument, except for "Thank You" be stricken from the record. It will be hard for me to trust Dan after this episode.

It is a shallow episode, and that is unfortunate.
The statistics analogy seems pretty apt. I really don't care what Denmark's OPS, WHIP, WAR or any other stat is. Not even a little bit.
It ain't the same fuckin' ballpark, it ain't the same league, it ain't even the same fuckin' sport.

Re: CS314 - Unhealthy Numbers
When looking at the motives for why people take sides, aside from the philosophical stands, it comes down to this: We have the greatest health care in the world as long as you have the money to pay for it, but if you lack the money to pay for it, you end up receiving the worst health care of the developed world. If we seek to provide more health care to those who cannot afford it, the quality of health care enjoyed by those with lots of money will erode. So we have reached a point where people who can afford good health care don't want universal coverage because they know it will diminish their quality of health care, and those who cannot afford good health care want universal health care because they know it will improve their quality of health care.
The fact that people with plenty of money make reasonable moral arguments for universal health care of some kind ought to concern those who want none of universal health care. This final outcome of this problem will come down to how many people can be convinced one way or the other, and it's difficult to to overcome a moral argument with a philosophical argument in the context of changing minds.
Eventually somebody relatively powerful is going to get a giant spotlight and perform the equivalent of Marc Antony's speech and the opposition to universal health care will get crushed in the minds of the demos. It's only a matter of time.
"Jessica was a wonderful little child, yet so-and-so showed us how it would have been 'slavery' to save her from her preventable illness when her mother couldn't pay.."
Losing side.

Nice post.
I'd like to add that Republicans are risking their "win" over Marxism by denying healthcare is a social issue.
