Fucking carry on 16 years of undeclared war while 99% of the population chills at home, and then wants to talk about social responsibility.

Maybe I have a different view on this. I'm not against some sort of State funded Health Care, provided we can afford it. Bankrupting the country so that 1-3 generations can have health care doesn't make much sense. This is a primary problem with Obamacare, fiscally insolvent from the start.

We don't make decisions and plans on the future anymore on what resources we have available for the need. Instead we start with, hey this is what would be a great plan for a person or a family. Maybe we can't afford a great Health Care plan for everyone. :o

Most people, as with this forum, want some or all Health Care taken care of through some sort of Government program. I'm not so ready to jump on board. We should be very careful what benefits we promise, because when the day comes you can't provide them. People get very upset................. see Bonus Army.

"Fiscal responsibility" is a canard. America can print as much money as it needs, as long as the people who end up with the money, The Rich, pay it back. It's only because Americans don't understand economics that The Rich can convince everyone else that we can't do something because of deficits.

What did I just say?

Dude, it's all about The Rich creating an aristocracy. (We've discussed this: were you in class?)

Proposing a money printing scheme that will surely run a currency into the ground, bringing pain and hardship to millions, simply to win over some new votes with the promises of even more free benefits, is a bad idea no matter who is doing it.

Trying to scare people with the specter of the aristocracy is not going to change that.

Dude, engineering is a great field, I started in it, but it causes you to blindly accept established lines of thought. Trust me on this "money is imaginary" concept; I didn't just start thinking about it yesterday.

I guess I skipped Dr Hash's seminar on imaginary money as well. Cause, let me tell you, when they repossess your car and toss you in the street, money is suddenly very real. Money may not be real, I don't reject the idea. But perception is reality, and people perceive their paychecks as money, therefore money is real.

Trump just rolled back the 2017 pay increase for Federal Workers, let see if Federal Workers think money is real. Speaking of Federal Workers, if we must have Health Care and you want a system that works, the first thing you need to do is ensure the House and Senate must use that Health Care system.
