And my prediction was correct. Congress is aiming to hold him to his constitutional powers. This could be a win.
Sadly, the conservatards still hold a super-majority around here.

It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to have predicted Trump probably wasn't going to fix everything as soon as he became POTUS. Don't see why Dan should get dap for making such an easy prediction, or be let off the hook for cucking out just because he did.

I believe in personal freedom, and social fairness. Why is that a weird thing?Martin Hash wrote:Dude, even Clubby tested out Liberal. You, OTOH, tested as a Libertarian-Socialist. Dude, did you use the word "fairness" in my presence?!!! (I can't think of many reasons to get banned but that just might be one of them...)GrumpyCatFace wrote:I believe in personal freedom, and social fairness. Why is that a weird thing?

A better word didn't really come to mind. I can wrap it up in political terminology, if you prefer, like 'equality of opportunity', or 'balance of starting positions', or whatever. Fairness is a worthy goal, in societal engineering. So is personal freedom, though neither of them will ever be fully achieved.. I stand by it.Martin Hash wrote:Dude, did you use the word "fairness" in my presence?!!! I called Dan's Alma Mater. They said that he was working towards an Associates degree in Gay and Lesbians Studies, but he wasn't able to finish because he was constantly wrecked on that super skunk and lean. I'm beginning to think every thing that came out of that man's mouth was a lie.

I know that word tends to trigger people into anti-Communist fits of rage, but for the few that can read the next 2-3 words, I'm not talking about that.
Equality of opportunity, not outcome.

Most around here seem to think that, yeah... I just roll with it, and clarify for anyone that will bother to discuss.Martin Hash wrote:Whew, that's a relief. I thought you'd gone full Marxist on us.
