For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

That forum is hosted in the USA and is set to Amerianese, so according to the spell checker "honor" is correct.
Canadians don't even have their own forums, they have to use American ones, who knew?

Still a loyalist though and we speak the Queen's English not the gutterspeak of those language butchering colonists.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2019 5:29 pm

Upper Canada was not founded by Britons, it was founded by United Empire Loyalists from America.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2019 5:35 pmStill a loyalist though and we speak the Queen's English not the gutterspeak of those language butchering colonists.
There's nobody more Canadian than me, ancestor landed in 1757, Orangeman of Upper Canada to this day.
I didn't leave Canada, Canada left me.

Yeah. Look for Dougie93, I'm Yzermandius19. Canadians are so much easier to troll than Americans.DrYouth wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2019 6:26 pmAre you still at this forum?

Some of them are okay, a couple of them pm me behind the scenes, they're not all bad. Most of them are tho.StCapps wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2019 2:55 amYeah. Look for Dougie93, I'm Yzermandius19. I mean, it's the priggishness, the smug holier than thou Canadian defense mechanism, that begs to be trolled.

Then you have gone further than me. Vervaeke is like A level Jordan Peterson. Not as charismatic and funny but way, way deeper. I find myself thinking in new ways after having listened to him. I will try to catch up. Just need to narrow down my podcast diet.DrYouth wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2019 1:37 pmAnyone else watching this YouTube series...
I think Hastur put me onto it.
I'm on episode 18 and very impressed.
Basically Vervaeke is psych professor at UofT, a colleage of Jordon Peterson.
He is walking through the history of altered states of consciousness and pathways to meaning...
From shamanism through Judaism, Plato, Aristotle, Buddhism, The Stoics, and onto the Christians and the Gnostics.
Dude knows his Cognitive Science, and the history of philosophy/religion.
It can be pretty thick sometimes... so definitely not for everyone...
But for psych geeks... this is the shit.
Do you look at YouTube or listen to the podcast? I only listen and sometimes wonder if I'm missing any visual stuff. The few videos I've looked was mostly him talking and I don't need to see that.
