I think you are 100% right about the schools and where this collectivist mindset originates. It took me many years to question the default idea that gov't should be involved in everything. I was taught that ad nauseum for most of my childhood. It is very very challenging to find a teacher who will even question this setup. And it makes sense. Those who are propped up by the system, abide in it. Talk to GoG. That poor bastard has been dealing with these Marxist bureaucrats for his entire career. He can tell you firsthand the kind of half-assed collectivist shit the school system supports and indoctrinates American children with.
