Okay, that's fine, I literally don't care if I convince you of anything or not. I offer what I got, if you don't want it, that's on you.
Right back at you. You know your argument doesn't hold up, so you duck the argument to protect your ego, and pat yourself on the back because you are more accomplished than whoever you are arguing against. Just because you have credentials, that doesn't mean you know everything, protip.
I thought we already determined that the only thing I got that makes any difference is money. I'm okay with that because I got more money than you too. If you think watching hockey makes you wiser than my money then it must be hockey that gives people superpowers. Maybe?

Having more money and watching hockey have little impact on who is making the better argument in this thread. You want automatic deference to your appeals to authority, especially when your argument sucks, but that is ridiculous.

Could be? I didn't convince anyone here. Just think, I wrote a book based on illogical and erroneous thinking - that's kind of ironic considering what my little bit of fame is.

It is ironic. Your credentials don't make you immune to illogical and erroneous thinking, but you are so invested in those credentials as part of your core identity that you have a hard time admitting when that is the case, especially if you're arguing with someone with less academic credentials, personal wealth and/or fame than yourself.

It's a definite blind spot of yours, whether you believe me or not. Appealing to your own authority is still a logical fallacy, no more how much of an authority you are.

I agree. I'm stupid. It's because I don't watch hockey. (Or any sport. I'd be smarter if I watched at least 1 sport.)

Your argument is stupid, and it has nothing to do with hockey or any other sport.

Smart, accomplished, wealthy and/or famous people can make dumb arguments, true story. Same with hockey fans.

None of those attributes gives anyone an immunity to making stupid arguments, even though you seem to want pretend that it somehow does.

It's probable that you will think I'm wrong on EVERY SINGLE IDEA in my book. If EVERY SINGLE IDEA in my book is wrong, wouldn't it be likely that EVERY SINGLE IDEA I think is wrong? Just projecting out, I mean. Right here, this conversation, I bet you think I'm wrong. Tell me, tell me you don't think I'm wrong in this conversation, I dare you.

p.s. If I watched hockey I bet I'd be right about 1 thing.
