I think you are throwing around buzzwords you read in a Thomas Sowell book without having any idea whether they apply here, or even how they could apply if that is the case.

Since that doesn't apply at all to Scandinavia, perhaps you need to rethink your parameters that cause those symptoms.DBTrek wrote:It may be because countries with “provide everyone cake” approaches often come with lower quality of life, high corruption, fewer human rights, and policies that cripple productivity.
Where and when are you speaking of? In much of Europe for hundreds of year peasants were tenant farming land they did not own. I was just reading about the situation in Ireland where absentee landowners and subleasing skimmed so much of the productivity that it was difficult for farmers to even subsist.Speaker to Animals wrote:Property was also very widely distributed. Outside of the cities, the poor still had some land, could grow their own food, and had basic things that the poor today cannot have without some form of assistance.
We are only accustomed to dealing with like twenty online personas at a time so when we only have about ten people some people have to be strawmanned in order to advance our same relative go nowhere nonsense positions. -TheReal_ND

Since you have no idea how the Scandinavian economy operates, I’m guessing you’re simply adopting the leftist mantra of Scandinavian countries being socialist utopias with zero actual knowledge about those countries.brewster wrote:Since that doesn't apply at all to Scandinavia, perhaps you need to rethink your parameters that cause those symptoms.DBTrek wrote:It may be because countries with “provide everyone cake” approaches often come with lower quality of life, high corruption, fewer human rights, and policies that cripple productivity.

Re: 384 Socialized Liability
Leftists are always like “Gee, those resource-rich, ethnically homogeneous, culturally collectivist, law-of-Jante based societies with less than 1/10th of the US population combined sure have a utopia. We should do what they do!”
Right.
Well, call me after you purge 92% of the US population down to an ethnically singular group of wealth-eschewing collectivist perched atop large oil reserves and I guess we can talk about it.

Ask Hastur what the current burn rate is for the Nords living the socialist life off the efforts of earlier generations getting rich through honest trade.
The U.S. has been doing the same; however with our nation of government educated retards and open border Gibs Award winners, our burn rate got out of whack, FUBAR, what 45, 50 years ago?

They're dialing it back on the bennies, and the oil isn't as plentiful these days.
Those utopias are gonna have to make some changes.
Bennies in the oil kingdoms of Arabia have been getting dialed back for years.
Those utopias are already reading the writing on the wall.
