Philosophies

The word “philosophy” is Greek for “love of wisdom.” “Epistemology” is what we can know and how we know it: knowledge. Your preconceptions of life and how you think you fit into it are your philosophy, everyone has one. The problem with debating any philosophy is that people have different understanding of what a particular word means, which is why linguists are able to dominate a philosophical debate, plus, in many philosophical discussions, the meanings of words are intentionally distorted to confuse, put you on the defensive, deceive, or mislead the listener, so-called “audio illusions.” Therefore to succeed in philosohical debates you should be encouraged to know at least the essence of the common philosophies:

Sophism
Skepticism
Stoicism
Scholasticism
Mysticism
Taoism
Empiricism
Rationalism
Idealism
Naturalism
Materialism
Pragmatism
Existentialism
Antidisestablishmentarianism
