Minimum Wage

1. Minimum Wage is paid by the Middle Class. Welfare is financed by The Rich (from the General Fund).
The State is NOT a good mentor, coach, or example of the Real World. People having to work for their checks is MUCH BETTER than simply receiving them for nothing.
2. The Puerto Rico example of the counter-productive nature of a high Minimum Wage is devastating.
3. Mom & Pop businesses will simply not hire someone, and "Small businesses make up: 99.7% of U.S. employer firms, 64% of net new private-sector jobs, 49.2% of private-sector employment, 42.9%of private-sector payroll, 46% of private-sector output, 43% of high-tech employment, 98% of firms exporting goods."
4. The upward pressure on wages: people who used to be glad they were $15/hr will no longer be satisfied, etc.
