No Business Taxes

Post by Martin Hash » Fri Jan 10, 2014 7:28 pm

It doesn’t make any sense for Capitalist governments to tax businesses. Business is the paper machine that provides jobs, technology, and identity for our population. Anything that unduly hinders that is bad. I know The Left tries to make Big Business America's bogeyman but that’s because The Left are not Capitalists – they’re Marxists. Like former U.S. President Calvin Coolidge's famous misquote, indeed "the business of America is business."

But it's not all wine-and-roses, so what are the problems with business?
1. Monopolies & collusion. We’ve got laws for those but they need to be enforced.
2. Disregard for environmental concerns. It’s not business’s job to care for the environment, that’s what the EPA is for, however, people are suspicious the EPA is aligned with the Greens, who are Marxist. The EPA needs some PR work, and to get their cojones back.
3. Businesses are NOT people. I know The Left insists that “Citizens United” (a controversial U.S. Supreme Court decision) says businesses are people, but it doesn’t, and businesses aren’t. The problem now is that business can accumulate money – that’s bad. Like Subchapter S Corporations and Limited Liability Companies, all profit from a business should be considered income to the owners – who then pay the taxes. There is no reason a business should accumulate money – if they need money they can borrow it or sell stock.
When the U.S. economic system crashes, we will get an opportunity to adjust the laws, redefining the role of business is one of the Big Changes. (Another being a Federal Balanced Budget Amendment using Debit accounting.)
