Negative Emotions
Fear is the primordial sense of danger.
Envy is one's own discontent with regard to another's advantages, success & possessions.
Anger is temporary hostility, erratically triggered, to determine dominance.
Resentment is bitter indignation directed towards those seen as interfering with our own objectives, real or imagined.
These feelings manifest in a host of sociopathic behaviors that can be personally or socially deleterious, often resulting in:
passive-aggressiveness is intentionally not performing an agreed on task, but in a way that avoid direct confrontation.
Spite is a malicious desire to harm, annoy, frustrate, or humiliate another person.
Perversity is a willful determination to act counter to someone else’s interests, even at one’s own detriment.
Vindictiveness is the intention to cause anguish and hurt.
Then there are those gray emotions that are not necessarily destructive to society, and maybe not even to self:
Pride is a high opinion of oneself.
Lust is uncontrolled sexual desire or appetite.
Gluttony is consumption beyond practical utility.
Greed is excessive desire for wealth or possessions.
Avarice is an unchecked desire to obtain possessions
Sloth is habitual disinclination to exertion.
Jealousy is monopolizing one's possessions & relationships against all others.
Hate is residual anger.
Covetousness is the desire for the possession of others.
Schadenfreude is taking pleasure in those who you think consider themselves your betters being brought down.

You just need coping exercises to minimize all this bullshit.

Dude, I went through the reverse dictionary and could not find it. I am not great at this introspection stuff. Was just trying to come up with funny memes.

Re: Negative Emotions
I'm writing my political philosophy, which starts with my personal philosophy, which is that people respond fundamentally from a well of base emotions that manifest themselves in particular ways. I didn't realize how difficult it was to identify both the emotions & the manifestations until I started writing them down, and I've been working on this for years.Speaker to Animals wrote:Martin Hash wrote:That’s a manifestation; what’s the emotion?Speaker to Animals wrote:Deceitfulness
