We are talking about states, not rural vs. urban.

That's exactly what accounts for the difference. Urban populations have many more people, who collectively pay more taxes than rural populations which have far fewer people. States without very large metropolitan areas don't pay as much federal taxes collectively as states who do possess such metropolitan areas.

You are essentially just saying, wah, my state has more people. Not fair!

It's ridiculous.
If only there was a way to measure the average income for an area and then compare those areas.....

The light clearly and undeniable shone upon media bias alone almost worth the price of the election.

It's meaningless to look at just one piece of the equation. If you lower my bracket slightly but take my deductions away, I will lose money. It was the same as Obama telling everyone they would be covered without price constraints: many people will lose coverage because they can't afford the deductible and/or the premiums. Deliberately misleading is lying.

It’s meaningless to cite vague “deductions” that will supposedly turn tax breaks into money losers. I gave you the stripped down version of the argument. The fact that you can dig up more talking points to muddy the waters is meaningless. I’m aware of the fifty million different ways Democrats like to spin tax breaks as evil, dangerous, or more expensive - don’t feel like you have to run each of them by me.

Your tax bracket got a tax break. The end.

That is simply not true. State income taxes are far from vague, unusual, or minor. Property taxes as well. People paying alimony are screwed (they would probably say twice).
