He came up with that whole "physics" thing off the top of his head, but he was poor and didn't travel worth a damn.
Not meta.

I see the game being played here.

(On the other hand, P-Diddy has traveled a lot and is rich as hell. Meta)

I know "discovering" something is WAY MORE DIFFICULT than learning it but gravity is pretty basic, and his optics stuff was wrong. Calculus was actually going to come along any minute, in fact, there was a giant controversy who "discovered" it first, we use Leibniz's formulation and Newton's name, "Calculus." Newton was a spiritualist, autistic, and a virgin. All that shit is weird, and maybe indicative of Metahood, I just can't tell.

Also it's told he never kissed a girl.

And, he is supposed to have refused to show up to Leibniz' cock-measuring contest.

Not a meta.

Newton was p autistic. That's a good autobiography to read right there. More interesting to me personally than a rapper but I don't know if that makes him meta.

I just added Robert Laughlin to the "Meta" list. First I listened to him on EconTalk (August 9, 2010 episode) and thought he might be a candidate, then I Googled him and, holy shit, that's a Meta.

Facility & fame is a good place to start looking for Metas, like going into the forest looking for mushrooms among the toadstools.

Notoriety & fame are extremely valuable in society, probably because everyone wants to be someone or at least someone who knows someone. I've known this intellectually for some time but it didn't get into my radar until I started looking into the possible existence of "Metas." It seems more likely that a Meta would be famous at some level, but the converse is not true: Metas may not be famous, just difficult to find.
