People: The 10 Realities of Life

1) People are self-interested.
2) People are lazy. (They produce/work better under stress & anxiety.)
3) People change. (What they may once have been good at, they are no longer. Old people are dumber than they were when they were younger.)
4) People are pretentious.
5) People resent paying for anything but status.
6) People become women. (Democracy inevitable feminizes society.)
7) People vary around a mean. (Biology is a Bell Curve.)
8) People never consciously succumb to a better argument.
9) People would kill you if they could get away with it. (But not necessarily rob you.)
10) People are driven by envy & resentment. (These base emotions are the most powerful & insidious motivators.)

I worry about Marty when I look around his archive...

On the other hand... he seems to be doing OK for himself...

So then I stop worrying about him pretty quickly.

But that is one pessimistic and misanthropic list.

I stopped giving advice a long time ago because it's a form of predicting the future, but ignoring my insights is foolish.

p.s. Somebody recently asked me,"Say something wise." I replied, "Claiming wisdom would be foolish." They didn't get it.

Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time and always start with the person nearest you.

People get dumber as they get older?

These are insights?
