There is no country that is more courteous than the U.S. The big tell is standing-on-line: this is impossible almost everywhere because people cut in so badly you've got to push your way to the front in a big crowd. This is how I explain it to foreigners who visit the U.S. & want to cut in front of a long line because they think Americans are foolish. "Dude," I ask. "Can you tell me which of those OWGs is carrying?"
