Open Borders

Post by Martin Hash » Fri Feb 05, 2016 2:09 pm

I had a debate with a Open-Borders advocate: he had lots of reasons why immigration is good. I asked him if I could live in his house? He knew I was setting him up but he'd backed himself into an ideological corner, and agreed. I was serious, and started making plans to come live with him until he knew I wasn't bluffing then he reneged. I called him selfish, greedy, and explained how I would be paying rent, and how I'm a good conversationist, and can fix cars & stuff, but he was adamant my family couldn't move in with his family. Moral of this story: It's not up to me if I can go live in someone else's house: that's purely their call. Even if I'm poor, hungry, will die otherwise, or even it's in their best interest. It's not up to the immigrants on whether they get to come to the U.S., it's up to us.
