Without an omniscient being watching your every move & listening to your thoughts, people have no supreme power over themselves; there’s no “Because God said so” refrain to keep them under control. The secular substitution for this is Climate Change. However, since that hobgoblin is wearing down due to evidence to the contrary that even the NPCs are noticing, “Democracy” is the new god, meaning feminism.
