“Art” Is Dead

Post by Martin Hash » Tue Feb 14, 2023 3:46 am

Art & artists used to be admired & respected because it required talent & commitment, but with the advent of A.I. art, the field has lost all value. Scott Adams thinks the same way. Of course, he thinks he’s safe because A.I.s don’t seem able to do humor, and I think I’m safe because A.I.s can’t tell a sophisticated story. However, copywriters & pulp writers are out of a job.

A decade from now, original comic art & paintings by humans from the past are going to be extremely valuable because there won’t be anymore. What person would want to spend the decades it takes to become an artist when there is no prestige nor paying gigs, and an A.I. can do it faster & better. Same thing with animators & musicians: I use A.I. art & music for all my projects now. I can literally do everything myself. That will be the growth industry: highly creative & proficient conductors with an A.I. orchestra.
