No One Switches Ideologies

Post by Martin Hash » Sun Nov 07, 2021 9:59 am

People don’t want a new ideology when their party fails; the same triggers that make them a Marxist: envy, resentment, inadequacy, are still there, they just won’t accept that Marxist policies failed so they blame the politicians: “Marxism has never really been tried,” is their excuse. Same thing with Fascists: they’re not going to back off their feudalistic ideas just because the other 99% are left out: “a raising tide lifts all boats,” they parrot. Both Marxism and Fascism are authoritarian, one by the state, the other by corporations; only liberty is anti-authoritarian, but liberty is not a natural state of man, so it must be instilled in a nation’s citizenry. If it’s not, Marxism or Fascism soon re-emerge. Of course, this is only Western thought; Eastern ideologies do not embrace the idea that mankind is an exalted species, and eschew individualism.
