Did try some experimental opiate eye drops back then. Awful feeling in my head and made the pain temporarily worse.
There may be some wisdom hidden in that method.
Give the patients something that hurts a lot more than their current pain.
By the time they climb down from the new pain threshold their old pain levels feel great.
Thinking about the comfy pains of yesterday would defeat the purpose of mindfullness and thinking in the now, though. ;)

I used to have Major Payne on VHS when I was in elementary school. That, Heavyweights and Goodburger were constantly playing in my parents' VCR. Fond memories. Jaws was my favorite childhood movie though (its still in my top 20 of all time). Good shit.

Major Payne is incredible. That movie is still one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

Its fundamentally a wholesome movie (which is rare) and funny (which is even rarer). But yeah, I don't find it as good as it was when I saw it in the 90's, but I still get quite a few sensible chuckles out of it. Major Payne is a force of good. He rids South America of Leftist dictators, and he helps shape the youth of tomorrow. Certifiable good guy.

Good thread.

I have a 12 year old that thinks he’s 30. Have to smash his eggs down once in a while, to get a proper response. He’s coming along well in general, just occasional tantrums and outbursts.

Dad reigns supreme though. Chain of command must be maintained.
