Reverse China

Trump's election highlighted the Virtual Civil War in America. One possible solution is for America to be the reverse of China: instead of being State-Marxism with scattered Capitalist zones, America could be State-Capitalism with small Marxism zones.

How would that work logistically, and where would you put them?

Portland, OR & San Francisco, CA are already People's Republics. If they were nationally recognized as such, given special dispensation to curtail liberty & institute forced re-education programs, then socialist/Marxists would have other options besides Canada.

By what do you mean could: SanFran? Denver?, Hartford?

Is Denver as bad as they are? I never noticed when I would visit the area, but I was pretty young...

Boulder definitely is, but Denver didn't seem quite that way. But then, leftist views and voting do not necessarily equate to the sort of 'marxist hack' that most of us find annoying.

Sounds like what America once did to finally starve out the institution of slavery.

If marxism can no longer spread to prosperous regions after destroying previous regions, marxists face the choice between war and giving up marxism.

Wildly implausible. Should I be reading this as sarcasm?? When you say "...given special dispensation to curtail liberty," what do you mean exactly?

American law defaults to liberty (individuals come first). Marxist/socialists cities would need to be able to override the courts.
