Taxes Enlarge the Middle Class

For those of you who went to MBA school, remember your equations for factory utilization? Factory A makes a widget until its marginal cost pushes production to Factory B, and thereafter to Factory C, on down the line. High marginal rates for the 1% will push income down to the next level, let's say 5%, until their marginal rates push efficiency to the top 20%, and downward until a larger Middle Class is formed. The marginal rates can be adjusted to accommodate however far the competence curve you want to go, but probably not much more than the top 40%, I'd guess? I have no solution for the incompetent lower half of the population except government assistance & instilling a work ethic so that their children could possible be competent & productive.
