I always have to read through half of them, before I figure out whether he’s serious or not. Some of these are funny as hell.Martin Hash wrote:Do you find it as ironic as I that his rebuttals are longer than mine?GrumpyCatFace wrote:Lmao you are insane

A spaceship is broadcasting the 4 seasons of “Farscape” on the way from Earth to Alpha Centauri, traveling at lightspeed. The people on Earth watch it at half-speed for 8 years but the Alpha Centurians see it all in an instant the moment the spaceship arrives.
Earth: 8 years for 4 seasons
AC: 0
The mean is 4 years so no time travel.

The reason the whole time travel thing got started is from conclusions drawn when space and time are graphed on perpendicular axis. The conclusion that time is fluid is fundamentally wrong, that is my prediction for what scientists will overturn 100 years from now.

Interpretation problem?GrumpyCatFace wrote:Atomic clocks don’t lie Dude.
p.s. My "Science Fallacy Predictions" list has to be BIG things or it's not interesting.

Like I said, it could be that the effect is from traveling through more space-time than Observer, when an object is in orbit. The object experiences time as normal, just more of it.Martin Hash wrote:Interpretation problem?GrumpyCatFace wrote:Atomic clocks don’t lie Dude.

Either way, the fact is clear - fast motion = slower time.

At one point there were 1000+ papers, some published, with a different interpretation. I considered looking into it but that would have been another rabbit hole and I don't have that many good years of life left.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Like I said, it could be that the effect is from traveling through more space-time than Observer, when an object is in orbit. If a spaceship was traveling away from Earth at lightspeed, and it was 4 light years away, could it watch an Earthling tv show that started 4 years ago?
If the spaceship was passing Alpha Centuri, 4 light years away, could it watch an Alpha Centurian tv show that started 4 years ago?

Yeah if it was beamed at the speed of light. Is this a trick?
