The Social Safety Net, paid for out of the General Fund, is there to make sure you live a comfortable though possibly meager life. There are a whole lot of folks who just want to work their 8 & get high everyday.

Do you really believe that society should pay wages while employers pay people in coupons? You're literally okay that we now have more jobs that pay shit than at any other point in our history, that we have to provide welfare to people working full time jobs?

When everyone is making coupons and nobody has any money to pay taxes or buy any goods, who will provide the safety net?

I guess people do not understand HOW MUCH IMAGINARY MONEY there is in this nation. 20% of the people pay 80% of the taxes. That could easily go to 10% of the people pay all the taxes.

Every small business owner I know scrubs their own toilets because they can't afford Minimum Wage to hire somebody to do it. So, rather than have a job+Safetynet, some unskilled person is unemployed.

p.s. This RIGHT HERE, this is the crux of the problem. Rather than do something shitty, most Americans would rather take Welfare and do nothing. That's why there are jobs for Illegals.

I disagree. The reason illegal aliens have employment is because nobody wants to pay higher prices for their food.

I'd like to hear more about this coupon earning economy. What are the coupons for? Can I use them to buy a car or a book? Can I pay my coupon taxes with my coupons? At what point do the coupons just become another word for money? Isn't money just a coupon with an agreed value?

I just don't understand a world where everyone lives off the government, except the 10% who make all the money, just so they can bitch about 90% of the country being lazy assholes who have to be taken care of by those with actual money.

The reason wages are so shitty is that for the past forty years our government has turned the other way while millions of illegal immigrants flooded our country, and because the government deliberately upped the legal immigration rate to glut the labor pool, including the H1B scam that targets professionals.

The low wage issue literally is the immigration issue. People who demand open borders and "diversity" from even more immigration have NO BUSINESS complaining about stagnant real income. Most of them are too ignorant to even realize why.

The immigrant problem definitely exists, but since the banks are able to flood the market with cheap credit we haven't reached a point where the economy is grinding to a halt because the vast majority of the public can't afford anything.
