Watertown Lakes National Park, Canada - June 30, 2023
My wife, Gwynne, and I hadn’t planned to go to a third national park in Canada but our truck was too big for Glacier National Park in the U.S. so we entered the Canadian side instead. Watertown was the first international national park; flying both the Canadian & U.S. flags at its entrance on the Canadian side, though it doesn’t share the name.

Gwynne and I had already been to Glacier National Park so we took the changed itinerary as a boon. It also gave us a chance to compare the two contiguous parks; the name change is justifiable: we saw no glaciers in Watertown but we did see Watertown lakes.
