I saw my first Stonehenge with my wife, Gwynne, a couple decades ago, hours from anywhere, in Maryhill, Washington. We stopped on a high clifftop above the Columbia River, looked around, and drove away. Weird thing in a weird place. Since then we've see the real Stonehenge in England; same feeling.
What compels people to build Stonehenges? Is it he same thing that inspired the first one 4 millennia ago?
While driving through Missouri, along Route 66, a sign on the road said “Stonehenge” with a little picture. We just had to stop at the University of Missouri and take a look.

We have something like that in Georgia. It's within driving distance, so I've been there a couple of times. I didn't even know it existed until a few years ago after living near it my whole life. Saw some flat earthers who were leaving money and info-cards, yelling about Satanists.
Good times.
