Buying From the Woman in the Parking Lot

I don't know how many times I've been approached by a vendor in a parking lot, but it's got to be in the thousands. Up-to-now I've always fended them off, never buying a thing, feeling annoyed. I don't know why I paid attention to the little old Chinese lady in traditional Dali costume in the parking lot at the Three Pagodas, but I did, and by the time my wife, Gwynne, walked up, I'd purchased an old Chinese silver dollar with a dragon on one side & a bearded Chinese warlord on the other, for $8. I don't think Gwynne was impressed. In fact, we skipped seeing the pagodas and called the entry fee we saved a wash. My grandkids will enjoy that coin so the exchange for a little self-indulgence is a good one.
